Quality of Life as we Age

We all want to live a long life and many of us keep up with important things like yearly physical exams, and preventive check-ups. These are excellent steps that will allow us to catch any physical issues before is too late but there is more than that.

As we age, we lose muscle mass, bone density, flexibility, and our day-to-day movement start getting compromised. These elements will impact the quality of life as you age. Our goal should not be just to live for a long time, it should be to live for a long time in a state that we can enjoy life and be independent.

This is where Strength training and exercise come into play. A good Strength Training program and an exercise routine will help preventing muscle mass loss and will definitely help with the decrease in bone density. It’s never too late to get active and make a lifestyle change.

In addition of the physical benefits associated to Strength Training and an Exercise routine, there is also a positive impact on Mental Health. There are many studies related to the correlation between exercise and mental health but we’ll will discuss that one at another time…..
